A bypass door is a popular type widely used in different areas of the home, including closets, shower doors, and bedrooms. It is an ideal alternative to a bi-fold closing door since it technically opens horizontally, is parallel to the wall, and slides one in front of the other.

Bypass doors are two doors set on a track that slide in front of and behind one another. The track is usually mounted to the top of the door frame and allows the two doors to move in a back-and-forth motion. Each door is hung to its respective side of the door frame, with rollers attached to the bottom to keep the doors moving along the track.
